Join our team creating and delivering great food for our customers. This is very much an ‘all round’ role and the work includes food preparation, service cooking, cleaning and washing up.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities include:
A) Management
1. Oversee all aspects of day to day operation and logistics both FOH and Kitchen, including (but not limited to)
* Ordering
* Cleanliness, Hygiene and closing down
* Process (check lists etc)
* Scheduling, leave and cover to minimise labour costs while meeting all other requirements
* Cash handling and till
* Use of advertising and promotional materials, menus etc.
* Monitor, manage and minimise food wastage
* Sign off and acceptance of deliveries, collection and filing of invoices.
2. Oversee all aspects of the 'customer experience' including (but not limited to)
* FOH customer contact and management (how we deal with customers)
* Ongoing cleanliness and preparedness of Tea Room for customers (how good we look to customers)
* Service and waiting times (how well we serve them)
* Presentation, quality and consistency of all food and drinks served
* Maintain our 'Sequence of Service' at all times
* Monitor and manage all FOH food and drinks items, quality, portion size and consistency
3. In conjunction with MD, work to appropriate agreed revenue, upsell, cost and food cost targets
4. Ensure that agreed customer survey targets are met and any other initiatives/measures agreed from time to time.
5. Weekly review of customer surveys with MD with appropriate actions
6. Day to day line management responsibilities for the Team as agreed with MD as required, including:
* Leave approvals; performance monitoring/management; target setting and performance; time management; personal presentation
* In conjunction with MD, performance review and objective setting.
7. Financial management including:
* Accurately entering all invoice and credit notes
* Monitor and report on P&L and Balance Sheet
B) Kitchen
8. Ensure all food is of consistently high quality, delivered on time and to known food costs
9. Ensure that all recipes are costed and documented prior to being used.
10. Coach and mentor Kitchen staff as appropriate
11. Ensure that all Health and safety and Environmental health requirements are adhered to at all times by all staff
12. As required undertake baking, cooking and food pre-preparation during agreed hours and to schedule
C) FOH - By both working in, and managing staff.
13. To ensure Greeting, Seating and introducing customers to the Tea Room and its menu
14. Taking orders from seated customers, entering onto till and ensuring orders are accurately passed to the kitchen.
15. Developing knowledge and advising customers on all products and when required guiding customers on choices, including selling promotional products.
16. Identifying all front of house products in each order, preparing and serving as required in conjunction with kitchen order. This includes making of Teas, coffees cold drinks etc.
17. In all food preparation, presentation and service adhere at all times to instructions and manuals and ensure all procedures and check lists are properly followed and completed
18. As the order taker, remain exclusively responsible for the customer experience of that customer at all times and ensuring that where required a handover is properly undertaken.
19. Receive payment accurately and maintain accurate till balance.
20. Ensure at all times that all customer areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
21. As required, washing up, cleaning and general support in kitchen
22. Opening and closing procedures, preparation and cleaning
23. Other reasonable related duties as required.

♦ Willingness and ability to work Front of House as required
♦ Ability to work flexible hours and shifts as required, occasionally at short notice
